Applications open for funding under Housing Support Program

The Australian Government has developed the Housing Support Program (HSP) to help deliver the National Housing Accord’s target of building 1.2 million new, well-located homes over five years from 1 July 2024.

The HSP is a competitive program open to all local, state and territory governments. Funding will be provided via two streams:

• Stream 1 is designed for projects that will improve planning capacity
• Stream 2 will focus on infrastructure projects that support new housing of this program, by ensuring enabling infrastructure and amenities are in place.

Applications for Stream 1 opened on 27 March 2024 and must be submitted by 29 April 2024.
