Standing up for ourselves and not tolerating difficult behaviour is something we all want to do.
But many of us don’t do it well – or perhaps not at all, hoping the problem person will disappear. But they seldom do.
Course Outcomes:
- Define what "difficult behaviour" is for you – as we all interpret it differently
- Discuss the nine types of difficult behaviour we all face at some time
- Explain the difficult types of behaviour in human conflict – what works and what never will
- Describe key relational skills to use when dealing with difficult people
- Explain the relevance of attitude in any situation
- Describe four tips to remember when having a courageous conversation
- Explain the easy template to use when preparing for a courageous conversation
- Define the behaviour cycle and how it can be improved
- Explain the hamburger model of feedback and how it works
- Discuss how if we are not part of a problem, we may be part of a solution.
