Systems thinking allows for improvement at the council-wide, departmental or team level by focusing on understanding and anticipating the potential consequences of all actions. It enables line of sight of an individual’s or a team’s contribution to the overall objectives of the Council.

Systems thinking organises the resources of the Council to provide value to services efficiently. It ensures that improvement can be focused at the Council level (holistic) outputs and outcomes. It guides the end-to-end management and improvement of processes.

This workshop is designed to overcome sub-optimisation of performance by the misalignment of operating models (Systems) that inhibits efficiency and continuous improvement. It provides the basis for leadership development through clarity of accountability, dialogue with stakeholders and establishment of measures of performance.
