Flying-Foxes Grants Program

This $1 million program is funded through the Office of Environment and Heritage (OEH) and is administered by LGNSW to address identified flying-fox management issues facing NSW councils. A combination of competitive and non-competitive funding was available.

Objective

The Flying-Foxes Grants Program has been established to help councils manage flying-fox camps in their areas, consistent with the Flying-Fox Camp Management Policy 2015.

How much is available?

A total of $1 million in funding has been made available to NSW councils under the Flying-Foxes Grants Program. All three streams are now closed.
 
Stream 1 – Implementing emergency flying-fox camp management measures where there are significant community impacts.

Stream 2 – Preparing flying-fox camp management plans.

Stream 3 – Implementing approved actions in flying-fox camp management plans.
 

Timeframes

Applications in all streams are now closed
 
Projects are to be completed by 31 August 2017, with final project reports required by 30 September 2017.
