Cr Cameron Walters was elected to Wollongong City Council in 2017, at the age of 25, on his first attempt.

Cr Walters has a vast experience and background in small business, non-for-profits and the public sector.

He works in the energy industry, assisting in the fast-changing energy environment. He is also a Board Director of the Illawarra ITeC and serves on Wollongong Council's Sports and Facilities Reference Committee.

Cameron is an avid skier, local tennis player, former national racing car champion (Formula Ford)/current historic racing car driver and a proud resident of Helensburgh.

He aims to ensure that all councillors from rural and regional areas have the best representation possible when it comes to Local Government advocacy.
