Webinar: Return and Earn Bin Baskets for Councils

Join Local Government NSW for a free online webinar on Wednesday 29 July 2026 to learn more about the Return and Earn Bin Baskets for Councils Program.

Local councils are valued partners in the delivery and success of the NSW Container Deposit Scheme, Return and Earn, which has seen over 16 billion bottles, cans and cartons returned for recycling through its statewide network of 660 return points since 2017.

Presented by Shirani Glover, Executive Director from Exchange for Change, the scheme coordinator of Return and Earn, this webinar will share the positive outcomes from the first round of the program in which 31 councils participated and secured free bin baskets and cradles for their communities.

The session will also outline how your council can apply to participate in the next round.

You will also hear firsthand from one of the current NSW participating councils as they share their experience and the benefits of their involvement.

Duration: One hour (40-minute presentation followed by 20 minutes for Q&A)
