Councillor Support
In addition to helping councils as a whole, Local Government NSW (LGNSW) also offers a range of support services to individual councillors, including mentoring and professional development.
Below are some of the ways in which LGNSW assists councillors working in local government in NSW.
Councillor fees
Each year, the NSW Local Government Remuneration Tribunal determines the level of councillor fees. LGNSW makes submissions to the Tribunal seeking fairer and more equitable fees for NSW councillors.
