Draft NSW Water Strategy

The Department of Planning, Industry and Environment (DPIE) has published the Draft NSW Water Strategy, which is aimed at improving the resilience of the state’s water resources over the coming decades.

The Draft NSW Water Strategy will be on public exhibition from 15 February to 28 March 2020. DPIE is aiming to brief local government on the development of the strategy, its priorities and timelines for finalising the strategy. This includes explaining its relationship with other programs like the new Town Water Risk Reduction Program and the regional water strategies.

To find out more:

  • A webinar will be held on Thursday 25 February from 2pm to 3.30 pm exclusively for local government on the development of the strategy, its priorities and the timelines for the final strategy, followed by a Q&A session.
