Council input sought into Draft Interment Industry Scheme

Cemeteries and Crematoria NSW (CCNSW) is consulting on its Interment Industry Scheme and is seeking a third and final round of feedback on how the proposed requirements will impact council operators.

LGNSW will be making a submission. Councils are invited to provide feedback by Friday 15 July. Councils may also wish to provide feedback to CCNSW directly. Submissions direct to CCNSW will close on 31 July 2022.

LGNSW made a submission on CCNSW’s Interment Industry Scheme’s earlier Discussion Paper.

The proposed licensing conditions will include new consumer contracts, cemetery maintenance, pricing transparency, customer service standards, and religious, cultural and spiritual principles.
