Host your own 2023 National Reconciliation Week event

Reconciliation NSW will be livestreaming a state-wide breakfast event to local councils in NSW and invites councils to host their own concurrent National Reconciliation Week (NRW) breakfast locally.

Councils that buy a ticket to view the livestream will receive an event activation pack, including digital and physical event activation resources to facilitate a fantastic local event experience.

The NSW 2023 NRW Breakfast, co-hosted by Baker McKenzie, will include a special keynote address and facilitated panel discussion related to the theme for National Reconciliation Week 2023, Be a Voice for Generations.

This year’s theme encourages all Australians to be a voice for reconciliation in tangible ways in our everyday lives – where we live, work and socialise.

For the work of generations past, and the benefit of generations future, act today for a more just, equitable and reconciled country for all. We all have a responsibility to harness the momentum within the current climate of the reconciliation movement.

The annual NSW Reconciliation Breakfast inspires individuals and organisations to make a difference within their spheres of influence and to continue the learning journey of First Nations cultures and perspectives. National Reconciliation Week – 27 May to 3 June – is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia.

Reconciliation NSW is excited to be able to facilitate an exciting panel of changemakers who are using their voices and creating substantive change towards truth, equity and healing.

We look forward to you joining us for the NSW 2023 NRW Breakfast being celebrated concurrently across hundreds of offices, community centres and local council offices across NSW.

When: Wednesday 31 May
