Pre-election Candidate Information Session (member requested)

This introductory two-hour session/s is essential for all potential candidates considering standing for election to understand what is entailed in being a councillor.

This briefing provides participants with an understanding of the role of the councillor and how it fits in with other roles and levels of government. Participants will discuss the expectations and potential challenges and identify key elements of council meetings - including code of conduct and conflict of interest.

The session(s) can be held as a morning, afternoon and/or evening information session.
