Councillor Forum

This Councillor Forum is a specially customised half day forum delivered online for existing councillors. Designed and delivered by the learning unit in collaboration with a subject matter facilitator with extensive local government experience as an elected member.

This highly interactive forum will provide attendees with the opportunity to discuss tools & strategies to be effective, share lessons learnt and exchange ideas.

Topics will cover:

  • Working strategically as a councillor
  • Communicating effectively with your community
  • Increased role of advocacy and effective strategies; and
  • Making informed decisions in a changing world


Target Audience
Newly elected and returning councillors. 

Process
The facilitator will use PowerPoint presentations and discussion sessions with participants to deliver content and achieve course objectives.
