Christian MorrisChristian Morris, Manager, Management Solutions. Christian started with Local Government Management Solutions in October 2007 and is a seasoned professional with a diverse background in recruitment, performance, project, and change management. With over 17 years of experience at LGNSW, Christian has established himself as the leading authority in executive-level recruitment and performance management within Local Government in NSW. During his tenure, Christian has successfully facilitated over 200 recruitments for general managers, CEOs, and directors, demonstrating his expertise in identifying top talent and matching them with the right roles. His confidential understanding of high-performing individuals within the local government sector is unparalleled. Christian's commitment to excellence extends beyond recruitment; for over a decade, he has conducted performance reviews for general managers and directors, gaining invaluable insights into best practices and high-performance standards.

Anantha Dinavahi, LGNSW Human Resources Consultant, Local Government Management SolutionsAnantha Dinavahi, Senior Consultant. Anantha has more than 13 years of experience in Human Resources and IT. She has held different roles in organisational development, talent management, HR consulting and project management in large multinational organisations such as ANZ Bank, Novartis, Mercer and Infosys. In her current role, she is working on the end-to-end implementation of the different analytics products that LGNSW is offering its member councils, in addition to supporting the Management Solutions Team in key assignments. Anantha comes with a rich experience of managing HR projects of diverse scale, impact, and complexity. She has had the opportunity to lead projects in the areas of organisational design, culture, operational excellence and technology enablement. Her roles in organisational development have helped her build expertise in conducting organisational diagnostics and using the findings to conceptualise, design and implement transformation initiatives. She has also demonstrated excellence in leading HR governance initiatives and leveraging the power of HR analytics to make strategic people decisions.

Claudia Nossa CortesClaudia Nossa Cortes, Senior Consultant. Claudia has more than 15 years of experience in HR. She began her career in the healthcare sector. Working in a large facility gave her exposure to a variety of interesting and complex HR matters. She has a record in delivering strategic and innovative HR solutions that align with the mission and culture of the organisations she worked for. Most recently, Claudia worked as a senior HR consultant, coaching executives to enhance their HR skills and knowledge to give them the confidence to tackle HR issues while creating a cohesive work environment. Claudia is also skilled in navigating complex employee relations issues, ensuring compliance with legal regulations, and managing sensitive HR matters with confidentiality and professionalism. She is motivated by the opportunity to empower people and teams to achieve their goals and potential.

Emily King.Emily King, HR Consultant. A seasoned HR/recruitment adviser, Emily's major responsibilities are to look after candidate sourcing, screening, business stakeholder management and advisory (including demand/supply forecasting), talent pooling, and manage relationships with external councils as well as internal stakeholders, including contract and commercial negotiation. She has also been responsible for the management of international candidate supply and relocation, management of direct reports, advertising, and facilitated performance reviews as well as change management. After over 10 years working within leading recruitment agencies, and more recently global consultancies including PriceWaterHouseCoopers and Accenture, she joined LGMS to provide specialised HR/recruitment services to our partnered councils across Australia. Whether you are a CEO or a blue-collar applicant, everyone holds the same attributes and values for Emily and are respectfully managed. She will always gently guide councils and candidates through the recruitment process, and is always open to any questions.

Mark AndersonMark Anderson, Associate Senior Consultant. Mark retired as manager of LGMS in April 2024, after starting his role in July 2008. Mark has more than 25 years’ experience in Executive Recruitment and Human Resources. In his previous role, Mark assisted councils to recruit more than 80 individual chief executive/general manager, senior staff positions. Mark formerly held senior management positions with Sydney Water, Commonwealth Bank, RailCorp and Optus, and undertaken large scale management consulting assignments with numerous blue-chip companies including Westpac Bank, Zurich Australia, AMP and NRMA. Mark also spent three years with HR Partners, a specialist human resources consultancy based in Sydney. He brings a highly professional, inclusive, client focused and pragmatic approach to the recruitment process, underpinned by his unwavering commitment to ensuring the right fit for the individual councils he is engaged to assist.

Peter Evans.Peter Evans, Associate Senior Consultant. Peter has amassed over 35 years’ experience in human resources, organisational development and recruitment. He has held management positions in local government human resources and people and culture roles at four medium to large Sydney councils (Kogarah, Rockdale, Woollahra and Sutherland councils), and built on this local government career with four years at Office of Local Government, a NSW Government agency, as a consultant responsible for assisting with the merge of a number of regional and rural councils from 2016. Peter has an extensive background in recruiting senior staff, professional and specialist roles across a broad range of professions within the local government sector. He has led large HR teams and managed recruitment sourcing, change management, learning and development initiatives, employee relations, leadership development and employment branding. He is a HR professional with a proven track record of delivering results to organisations and enhancing their service delivery and workplace cultures. Peter brought this expertise to LGNSW to work with member councils on a range of HR projects such as organisation structural reviews, staff engagement surveys, refinement of salary systems and performance reviews of general managers and senior staff with the elected councils.
