Applications by LGNSW to alter the Association’s rules

8 January 2018

On 8 January 2018, Local Government NSW made an application to the Fair Work Commission to formally certify amendments to the Association’s rules. The amendments are the result of motions carried at LGNSW’s 2017 Annual Conference.

The application concerns amendments to comply with the statutory changes to the Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Amendments Act 2016. Read the application (PDF, 5434KB).

Post-Election Report

The election for Office Bearers and the Board of LGNSW was held on 5 December 2017 with the results for Office Bearers declared on 7 December 2017 and the results for Directors declared on 8 December 2017.

The Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) issued a Post-Election Report (Report) that identifies any of LGNSW’s rules that the AEC found difficult to interpret or apply. LGNSW has now responded to the Report. To access the response please click here (PDF, 78KB).
